No longer a blog virgin!!

To anyone and everyone who might stumble across this blog...WELCOME to my world!

My Step-Daughter Candi has inspired me with her blog. http://crazyladysaywhat.blogspot.com/She and her husband (Donnavon) and our two Grandchildren (Dalton and Sabrina) moved from New Braunfels, Texas to the wilds of Massachussetts last August. We miss them terribly and after reading Candi's blog that they are still the same sweet and wonderful family that they were here. I hope to travel up there with another Grandson (Collin) when school is out for the summer. I think they have summer up there, like on a Thursday.

Now about my tattoo...Yes, I was 50 years old when my nephew 'Bear' did my first tattoo of a turtle, not on my back (upper or lower) or ankle or anywhere that tattoo newbies get them. I was in Tulsa, Oklahoma for my nephew Daves (Bear's bro AKA Dick Head) wedding. My Sister PJ and our brother Joe's wife Dan-Beth were there for a wild weekend in Tulsa. After the wedding we went to Bears studio and he worked on a tattoo for his Mom. (PJ) Dan-Beth said she'd get a tattoo if I did. No, we were never in the Navy and she doesn't drink so I thought she was serious! We looked through hundreds of designs and she chose a pretty rose and I decided on my turtle. (My plan was to let her go first and then I would back out at the last minute.) Well, Bear made a copy of our choices and what I didn't know was that Dan-Beth had him reduce her design to less than one inch across! (She didn't want her Dad to see it!) I said I wanted it where I could see it and that's how I came to have a turtle on my right forearm! More on Turtle significance in later blog. Now I'm going to try to add a photo.
